Storklog is a record-keeping app for parents. This policy explains what it does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.
Everything you enter stays on your phone. Storklog has no accounts, no servers, and no analytics. We cannot see your data, because it never reaches us. Nobody at Storklog can read your child's records or your own.
Everything below is written to storage on your own device:
- Your child's name, birth or due date, photo, and log entries — feeds, sleep, diapers, potty, temperatures, medicines, moments and moods - Their health record: appointments, vaccinations, growth measurements, vitals, medical history, milestones, and care-team contacts - Your own record on the Me tab: check-ins, recovery, blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, your own appointments and medicines, and pregnancy records - Your journal - The people in your family and their roles
Photos you add are copied into the app's own storage on your device.
Journal entries are encrypted on your device with a key held in your phone's secure hardware keychain. The key is marked as belonging to this device only: it is never copied into iCloud, never included in a device backup, and never sent anywhere.
This means journal entries cannot be recovered if the phone is lost, reset, damaged or replaced — by you, by us, or by anyone. They are also deliberately excluded from the app's own backup export, because a copy that could travel would defeat the point. If your entries matter to you, keep a copy elsewhere.
Nothing. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party SDK collecting anything in the background.
Three things can send information out, and each happens only because you chose it, in that moment:
Backups you export. You choose where the file goes. It contains your child's records and your own — never another family member's private notes, and never any journal entry.
Feedback and bug reports. These open a draft email you can read and edit before sending. The draft carries the app version and your phone's operating system version, and nothing about you or your child.
Tapping a phone number. Care-team numbers and helplines open your phone app. We are not involved in the call.
Family sharing is not yet available. When it arrives, a family will be able to share the child's records — the log, health record and appointments — between the phones of people you invite.
The Me tab will never be shared. Check-ins, recovery, blood pressure, blood sugar, weight, your own appointments and medicines, pregnancy records and your journal stay on the device that wrote them. This is not a setting that could be misconfigured: that information is not included in what gets sent. Two parents in the same family cannot read each other's journals.
This policy will be updated before sharing is released, and the current version will always be here.
Storklog is used by adults to keep records about their own children. Children do not use the app themselves and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Because nothing is transmitted to us, no child's information ever reaches Storklog.
Storklog is a record-keeping app, not medical advice, and not a medical device. It does not diagnose or treat, and it never decides whether a reading is normal. Reference information — immunisation schedules, growth and vitals ranges, milestones, warning signs — is reproduced from published sources and is general information only. Always follow your own doctor, midwife or pediatrician.
Deleting the app removes everything it stored, including the journal key. There is nothing held anywhere else to delete, and nothing to request from us, because we never had it.
